With the collaboration of the project partners and stakeholders, 2022 saw the completion of Surveying works across four Municipal Districts (Bandon-Kinsale, Carrigaline, Cobh and Macroom) with surveying also practically complete in three further Municipal Districts (Kanturk-Mallow, East Cork and West Cork). Surveying progress in January 2023 saw the completion of County Cork, and surveying commencing in County Kerry and County Waterford The surveying work provides the necessary information to facilitate the detailed design works which have progressed in parallel. The project supply chain will see lanterns delivered in April 2023 to allow the commencement of the installation works in the first Municipal Districts.

The coordination and delivery of this complex critical infrastructure project for the Munster region would not be possible but for the continued support of the Local Authorities, and critical stakeholders such as ESB, and the continued cooperation of the general public.
